CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Each year, we ask Illinois Football fans for feedback regarding their experiences in and around Memorial Stadium. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey and gave us your input. Based on the information you provided, we are excited to share with you some new initiatives and highlight some existing services that can enhance the game day atmosphere and the Illinois fan experience at football games. We thank you, our valued fans, for your continued support and look forward to an exciting 2013 Illinois Football season!

    1. NEW HIGH-DEFINITION VIDEO DISPLAYS
A new 36'x96' HD video display (nearly four times the size of the previous video board) is being installed above the south end zone, providing new graphic and animation capabilities, along with real-time statistics. Two additional video display units already have been installed on the southeast and northeast corners of the seating area. New custom scoreboards that will show the score, timeouts, down and distance, game time and quarter information have been installed on both the south and north ends for all fans to view. In addition, supplemental ribbon board displays are being installed on the front façades of both the east and west balconies to complement the new video system.

    2. NEW CUSTOM SOUND SYSTEM
A custom Daktronics Sportsound audio system will be integrated with the video and scoring system inside the stadium. This system will provide full-range sound reproduction and deliver clear and intelligible speech ensuring a powerful audio experience for our fans.

    3. MORE $99 FAMILY-RATE SEASON TICKETS
One of the best values in college football at less than $15 per game, the "family-rate" tickets have sold out each year since they were first introduced for the 2007 season. This year, to help meet demand, we've added more family-rate $99 season tickets in sideline sections, in addition to the horseshoe and section 109 that were available last season. 4. GAME AT HISTORIC SOLDIER FIELD
The Fighting Illini Football team will play Washington on Saturday, September 14, at 5 p.m. CT for its "Chicago Homecoming" game at Soldier Field. This will be an outstanding opportunity for our fans and alumni to experience a day of tailgating in Chicago and a game at one of the nation's iconic football venues. This will no doubt be a very memorable day for fans of all ages. Tickets for this game are on sale now for as low as $30 at FightingIllini.com.

    5. ELECTRONIC TRANSFER OF TICKETS
This season, fans will have the ability to transfer their tickets electronically to other people in the event they are not able to attend the game. Details will be available soon.

    6. PA ANNOUNCER
Gene Honda, public address announcer for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks, Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Final Four, will be back for his second season as our PA announcer at Illinois Football games.

    7. MTD TRANSPORTATION FROM DOWNTOWN & CAMPUSTOWN
On football game days, the Champaign-Urbana MTD will again be providing direct service between downtown Champaign and Memorial Stadium via Campustown. It's only a 15-minute direct service and costs just $2 round-trip for the general public, and is FREE for students with a valid iCard. Pick-up begins two hours before kick-off and the last trip returns from Memorial Stadium 30 minutes after game.

    8. PROMOTIONS WEBSITE
We've set up a website that provides fans with full details on the special promotions we have planned for each football game, as well as all other Fighting Illini home events. This is the place to find out about special ticket offers, concession deals, giveaways, in-game promotions or any other activities planned for a specific game.

    9. NEW CONCESSIONS OFFERINGS
Concessions will be adding new items to the east balcony stands, including hamburgers, pulled pork barbecue sandwiches and a Domino's pizza stand.

    10. NEW CONCESSIONS ONLINE MAP
To make it easier for fans inside the stadium to locate food options, a detailed map of concession stand food options will be available online at FightingIllini.com. This will be an easy way for fans to locate the stand that sells the food you are looking for.

    11. IMPROVED STREET FEST
Fans will enjoy a new and improved Street Fest prior to all home Illinois Football games in 2013. Street Fest will feature great entertainment including live music, food vendors, inflatables for the kids, face painting, and autographs from current Fighting Illini student-athletes as well as all-time greats. The Illini Walk, where the Illinois football team parades to Memorial Stadium led by the Marching Illini and Illini cheerleaders, will again kick off Street Fest. In addition, there are new events being planned to make this a pregame party you won't want to miss.

    12. COMMEMORATIVE SEASON TICKETS
