The University of Illinois football team will host a post-practice Autograph Day presented by the Champaign News-Gazette and radio stations WDWS and WHMS around its scrimmage Sat., April 18 at Memorial Stadium. Inflatibles and games for kids will be set up in the South End Zone from 9 a.m.-Noon. At the conclusion of practice at Noon the 2009 Fighting Illini football team will be on the field for autographs.

"We want to encourage all kids and fans to come out and meet our team," said Head Coach Ron Zook. "I know it is hard sometimes in the sport of football to feel a connection to the players, so we hope Illinois fans take advantage of Saturday. We will scrimmage so they can see how we have progressed this spring and then talk to our team after."

The Fighting Illini will have their second Saturday scrimmage of the spring season beginning at 10 a.m. in Memorial Stadium and autographs will begin at the conclusion. Gameday Spirit will also be in attendance with items for autographs for sale. All fans should enter the stadium on the West side through Gate 24 and parking is free at the Assembly Hall. Concessions will also be sold in the Great West Hall.
