CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Three Illinois players are scheduled to appear in the first Eastham Energy College All-Star Game in Tempe, Ariz., on Jan. 23. Punter Anthony Santella, linebacker Nate Bussey and receiver Eddie McGee have been selected for the game, which features a number of notable players like Northern Illinois running back Chad Spann, Mississippi quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and Iowa linebacker Jeremiha Hunter. All three Illini players will play for the "Stars" team, which will be pitted against the "Stripes" team.

Santella was a Ray Guy Award semifinalist and a first-team All-Big Ten selection by the conference coaches. He averaged 44.8 yards per punt, second-best in a season in school history, and had 18 punts over 50 yards and 19 downed inside the 20. He finished second in school history in career punts and his 50.8-yard average against Southern Illinois on Sept. 11 tied the fifth-best single-game average in school history.

Bussey was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection after having a career year in 2010, finishing second on the team with 83 tackles and third with 8.5 tackles for loss. He had a 16-yard interception return for a touchdown at Penn State on Oct. 9, and recovered three fumbles, broke up two passes and blocked a kick this season. McGee caught eight passes for 62 yards, including a season-long 24-yard reception against Missouri on Sept. 4. He also rushed 12 times for 36 yards and was 8-for-17 passing for 111 yards.

The Eastham Energy College All-Star game will be played at 6:30 p.m. in Sun Devil Stadium and will be broadcast on Fox College Sports, as well as Fox Sports Arizona and Fox Sports West. Complete rosters for the game can be found here.
