Eric Streeter is Assistant Athletic Trainer for football after joining the Sports Medicine Staff as an Outreach Athletic Trainer from Athletico Physical Therapy in July 2013.
The Oshkosh, Wisconsin, native is a 2002 graduate of Northern Michigan University, where he earned a B.A. in Athletic Training with a Spanish minor. Streeter additionally earned his Master of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Illinois in 2004. Prior to his current position with the University of Illinois, he was Head Athletic Trainer for Football at Millikin University for six years, where he was also the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Athletic Training Program. Streeter spent the earlier portion of his career as a high school outreach athletic trainer in Decatur, Illinois.
Streeter is an Illinois State Licensed Athletic Trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and Illinois Athletic Trainers Association (IATA). He has held several leadership positions within these associations, including serving as the current President of the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association. Streeter holds current certifications in Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM). Streeter and his wife, Kristen, reside in Mt Zion, Illinois, and have a son, Grant, who is a student at Butler University.
