    Opening Tips
    • Illinois puts its record nine-game Braggin' Rights winning streak on the line Wednesday in St. Louis, facing Missouri.

    • Illinois opened the season with four straight wins, then lost consecutive neutral-site games. The Illini bounced back with another four-game winning streak, but most recently lost to Georgia at a neutral site. Illinois will attempt to put an end to that pattern Wednesday on a neutral court in St. Louis.

    • Illinois is trying to snap a five-game skid overall at neutral sites.

    • Illinois is 77-14 in regular season non-conference games during Bruce Weber's seven-year tenure, a winning percentage of 84.6 percent.

    • In each of its eight wins, Illinois has topped 70 points and recorded at least 15 assists.

    • Illinois ranks 17th in the nation in assists (17.5 apg) and 13th in assist/turnover ratio (1.5).

    • The Illini rank 24th in the NCAA in field goal percentage (.491).

    • All five Illini starters are scoring in double figures, averaging between 10.4 and 14.2 points.

    • Illinois erased a 23-point deficit in the 76-74 victory at Clemson (Dec. 2), marking the largest comeback in school history and ninth-largest second-half comeback in NCAA history. It also was the largest comeback from a halftime deficit (20 points) in Big Ten history.

    • With its win over No. 18/19 Clemson, Illinois became the first Big Ten team this season to record a road victory over a Top 25 opponent.

    Brandon Paul has already recorded three 20-point games to start his UI career, with 22 vs. SIU Edwardsville, 20 vs. Northern Illinois and 20 vs. Clemson.

    • In its eight wins, Illinois' offense is averaging 84.4 points (675) on 52.1 percent shooting (228-438) and 19.6 assists (157), while in three losses, the offense is averaging 64.3 points (193) on 41.2 percent shooting (75-182) and 11.7 assists (35).

    Illinois owns a 20-8 advantage over Missouri in Braggin' Rights games played in St. Louis ... Illinois won eight consecutive games from 1983-90 and won nine of the first 10 games played in St. Louis ... After Missouri won seven of nine games from 1991-99, Illinois has won the last nine games (2000-07), the longest winning streak in the history of the series ... Bruce Weber is undefeated in the Braggin' Rights, owning a 6-0 record. Weber's lone loss to Mizzou came in the first round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament when he was in his final season at Southern Illinois.

    Last Time Out
    The Illini saw its four-game winning streak come to an end Saturday night, dropping a 70-67 decision to Georgia in Duluth, Ga. Illinois trailed nearly the entire way and faced a nine-point deficit with less than five minutes left. But the Illini went on a 12-1 run to take a 67-66 lead with 35 seconds remaining. Illinois could not get a defensive stop on the ensuing possession, however, as Georgia's Trey Thompkins was fouled with 22 seconds left and made a pair of free throws to put the Bulldogs ahead 68-67. Demetri McCamey then missed a runner with seven seconds left and Thompkins made two more free throws to seal the game.

    McCamey led the Illini with 21 points, while Mike Davis had 12 points and six rebounds and Mike Tisdale scored 10. Bill Cole, meanwhile, came off the bench to tie his career high with nine points while collecting five boards.
