Champaign, Ill. - Opportunities remain to watch the high-scoring Fighting Illini basketball team this season. Illinois makes its annual trip to Chicago's United Center on Jan. 2, facing No. 21 Gonzaga at Noon. That game is on pace to be a sellout, with approximately 1,000 tickets remaining. Illinois' last sellout for its United Center game came in 2004, when the top-ranked Illini defeated Oregon. Tickets may be ordered online through Ticketmaster or by phone, 312-559-1212

The Illinois-Missouri Braggin' Rights game in St. Louis, meanwhile, is less than two weeks away. The UI has once again sold its ticket allotment, but tickets are still available online through Ticketmaster. Illinois will put its school-record nine-year winning streak over the Tigers on the line at the Scottrade Center on Dec. 23 at 8:30 pm.

Fans can also catch the Illini in action at Assembly Hall. Weekend Big Ten games against Indiana (Jan. 30), No. 12 Michigan State (Feb. 6), No. 13 Ohio State (Feb. 14), Minnesota (Feb. 27/28) and No. 20 Wisconsin (March 6/7) are down to single seats remaining. Tickets are available for league contests versus Northwestern (Dec. 30), Iowa (Jan. 5), Penn State (Jan. 12) and No. 5 Purdue (Jan. 19), along with the final non-conference home game against Western Michigan on Sunday. Tickets for Illinois home games can be purchased online at FightingIllini.com, by phone, 1-866-ILLINI-1 or 217-333-3470 or in person at the Assembly Hall North Ticket Office.

"We've had great fan support to start the season and with the way tickets are selling, it sounds like that will continue to grow as we approach Big Ten play and get the Assembly Hall filled once again," head coach Bruce Weber said. "I thought our crowd was outstanding against Vanderbilt and you could see our players feed off that energy. We'll need that same kind of atmosphere the rest of the year at The Hall, as well as the United Center and Scottrade Center. I know our fans in the Chicago area are excited about the Gonzaga game; it would be special to have a sold out United Center for that one. And we'll need to have as much orange as possible in St. Louis when we face Missouri."
