CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Head coach John Groce and the Fighting Illini men's basketball team will host Northwood (MI) at State Farm Center Sunday night, Nov. 3, in the second and final exhibition game prior to the 2013-14 season. Tip is scheduled for 5 p.m. CDT.
Northwood is in Midland, Mich., and is and competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Timberwolves, led by fourth-year head coach Jeff Rekeweg, were 13-14 overall and 12-10 in the GLIAC in 2013-13.
Illinois-Northwood tickets are included in the season ticket package. Tickets also are on sale for as low as $22 each. State Farm Center doors will open at 4 p.m.
Fans unable to attend the game will have the opportunity to watch via a live video stream at FightingIllini.com. The stream is part of Illinois All-Access on the Big Ten Digital Network (BTDN), available through a monthly ($9.95/month) or annual (79.95/year) subscription. Two other Fighting Illini basketball games on Nov. 17 and Dec. 10 will be streamed exclusively on Illinois All-Access on BTDN as well.
