CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Head coach John Groce and the Fighting Illini men's basketball team will host McKendree University at State Farm Center Thursday night, Oct. 24, in the first of two exhibition games to kick-off the 2013-14 season. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. CDT.
McKendree is in its first year as full members of NCAA Division II, and will begin its second year of competition in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bearcats, led by long-time head coach Harry Statham, have four returning starters back from last year's squad, which posted a 7-21 record in 2012-13.
Illinois-McKendree tickets are included in the season ticket package. Tickets also are on sale for as low as $22 each. State Farm Center doors will open at 6 p.m.
Fans unable to attend the game will have the opportunity to watch via a live video stream at FightingIllini.com. The stream is part of Illinois All-Access on the Big Ten Digital Network (BTDN), available through a monthly ($9.95/month) or annual (79.95/year) subscription. In addition to the men's basketball video streams listed above, Illinois Access/BTDN subscriptions also include live audio of every Illini game this season as well as other exclusive coverage of all Fighting Illini sports. Learn more or subscribe to Illini All-Access.
