Alumni Game Details

Champaign, Ill. - The Illinois Basketball Alumni Game will be held Saturday at the Assembly Hall. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance online at FightingIllini.com, by phone at 866-ILLINI-1, or in person at the Illinois Athletics Ticket Office at the Assembly Hall. Tickets also will be on sale Saturday at the Assembly Hall, with the ticket office opening at 3:30 pm. Doors open at 4 pm. The current Illini team will scrimmage at 5 pm, followed by the alumni game at 6 pm. Parking is free.
More than 100 former players, managers, and support staff members will be in Champaign for the reunion, with approximately 40 players scheduled to play in Saturday's Alumni Game:

Serving as honorary coaches for the alumni game are former Illinois head coach Lon Kruger (1997-2000), and former Fighting Illini standouts Kenny Battle (1988-89) and Levi Cobb (1977-80).
Prior to the alumni game, Bruce Weber's current squad will take the floor and participate in a scrimmage as part of its final day of practice prior to departing on an international tour trip to Italy, Aug. 10-20. In addition to watching the eight returning players from last season's NCAA Third Round squad, Saturday will be the first chance for Illini fans to see newcomers Sam Maniscalco, Nnanna Egwu, Tracy Abrams, Myke Henry, Mike Shaw, Devin Langford and Ibby Djimde.
For those not in attendance, FightingIllini.com will have a live video stream of the intrasquad scrimmage and alumni game through its All-Access package. The stream will carry the feed from the videoboard at Assembly Hall.
Following the alumni game, Deron Williams will host a charity reception at the Activities & Recreation Center (formerly IMPE) on the U of I campus from 7:30-10 pm. The reception includes food, wine, a silent and live auction, and the opportunity to meet Williams and a number of former Illini players. The event will support his Point of Hope Foundation as well as the I FUND. Tickets are $100 and can be ordered online through the Point of Hope Foundation website.
