Champaign, Ill. - Matchups for the 16th annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge Presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods have been determined. Illinois will travel to Miami to face the Hurricanes on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Illinois and Miami will play for just the third time overall and first in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The teams most recently met in the third round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament, a 63-59 victory by the No. 2-seeded Hurricanes over the No. 7-seeded Fighting Illini. This will mark the Illini's first trip to Miami in 46 years, since defeating the Hurricanes, 86-76, on Dec. 28, 1968.

Illinois owns an all-time record of 7-8 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, with its seven Challenge wins tied for the most among Big Ten teams. The Illini had their four-game Challenge winning streak snapped last year, falling by three points at Georgia Tech. The Big Ten won the Challenge for three straight years from 2009-11 and has retained the Commissioner's Cup after tying with the ACC each of the last two seasons.

ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise all 14 games of the three-day event. All 14 games also will be available via WatchESPN. Game times and network designations will be announced in August.
