Champaign, Ill. - Illinois senior center Shaun Pruitt finished off four days at the Portsmouth Invitational by leading his team, the Tidewater Sealants, with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the championship game victory April 12. In three games, Pruitt averaged 11.3 points (32nd among all players) and 9.0 rebounds (2nd among all players), while making 14-27 (.519) field goals and 6-8 (.750) from the free throw line. The Tidewater Sealants finished with a 3-0 record to claim the championship.

For 55 years, the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament has invited 64 of the best college basketball players (seniors) from across the nation to participate in a four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team and a number of European scouts.

Pruitt continues to workout in Chicago in preparation for the NBA's Pre-Draft Camp in Orlando.
