    General Notes...
    **Kansas advances to play Richmond in the Southwest Regional semifinal on Friday in San Antonio, Texas
    **Kansas defeated Illinois for the second time in a row to even the all-time series at 3-3.

    Illinois Notes...
    **Mike Tisdale registered his third double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
    **After totaling 17 points in the seven games prior to the NCAA Tournament, D.J. Richardson posted back-to-back double-digit scoring games, scoring 10 vs. UNLV and 15 tonight vs. Kansas. He scored all 15 of the Illini's points off the bench.
    **Mike Davis closes out his Illinois career ranked 22nd in career scoring with 1,279 points and second in rebounds with 909.
    **Demetri McCamey finishes his Illinois career ranked second in assists with 733, fourth in three-point field goals with 236 and sixth in scoring with 1,718 points.
    **After producing a season-high 18 fast break points in Friday's win vs. UNLV, the Illini had just two fast break points tonight.
    **Illinois' shooting percentage of .381 was its fifth-lowest of the season.

    Kansas Notes...
    **Kansas advances to the Sweet Sixteen for the 27th time in school history.
    **Kansas improves to 34-2 on the season, which ties for the fourth-most wins in school history.
    **Kansas improves to 26-8 all-time as a No.1 seed and 87-38 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
    **Kansas is now 19-1 this season away from Lawrence. The Jayhawks are 9-1 in true road games and 10-0 on neutral floors.
    **Head coach Bill Self is now 27-11 in NCAA Tournament play, 17-6 at Kansas.
    **Kansas is now 131-16 over the past four years (2008-09-10-11), which stands as the best four-year mark in school history.
    **Marcus Morris registered his ninth double-double of the season and fourth in the past six games with 17 points and 12 rebounds. He had 12 points and 7 rebounds in the second half.
    **Today marked just the fifth time this season that Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris registered double-doubles in the same game. Markieff Morris finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Marcus Morris had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Markieff's 24 points was his second-best scoring output this season.
    **Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris combined for 31 points and 17 rebounds vs. Boston on Friday and 41 points and 24 rebounds vs. Illinois tonight.
    **Kansas dominated points in the paint, outscoring Illinois, 40-20.
    **Kansas hit 7 of their first 10 shots to open an 18-6 lead.
