Shawn Roof had an outstanding Big Ten Tournament for the Illini.

Champaign, Ill. - Illinois sophomore third baseman Shawn Roof (Paducah, Ky.) was selected to the All-Big Ten Tournament team announced at the end of Sunday's championship game.
Roof hit .857 in the Illini's two tournament games, going 6-for-7. He had five straight hits - three against Minnesota and two singles in his first two at-bats against Purdue. Roof drove in two runs and scored once, walking once and laying down a sacrifice bunt.
For the season, Roof hit .320 in 103 at-bats. He won the starting third base job after getting the call in the last game of the Northwestern series on May 8.
