April 12, 2013
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that the grass parking lots surrounding Illinois Field will be closed for this weekend's Purdue series due to the heavy rainfall in Champaign this week. Fans attending games at Illinois Field should park in either the Northeast Assembly Hall quadrant or the parking lot at the Bielfeldt Athletic Administration Building with entrance off Fourth Street.
Illinois will host Purdue for a three-game series this weekend at Illinois Field. The Illini and Boilermakers will square off at 6:05 p.m. on Friday night, 3:05 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and 2:05 p.m. on Sunday. The fifth-annual Bleacher Bum Barbecue will be held during Sunday's contest, which will be aired live on the Big Ten Network. This year's event will feature free food for the first 1,000 people along with an inflatable obstacle course, face painting and balloon animals.
