Illini-Mizzou Game at Busch Stadium Rescheduled for April 23
April 2, 2014
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Wednesday's Illinois-Missouri baseball game at Busch Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather in St. Louis. The Illini and Mizzou, in conjunction with the St. Louis Cardinals, rescheduled the game for Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. All tickets purchased for the April 2 game will be honored on April 23.
Last season, Illinois topped Mizzou for the first time in the series at Busch Stadium, capitalizing on five errors on its way to a 6-2 victory. In 2012, the Illini scored three runs in the first inning but Missouri scored in each of the first four innings and held on for a 5-4 win. The 2011 contest was rained out, and Mizzou won the inaugural Battle at Busch in 2010, 7-4.
Up Next: Illinois will hit the road for its first away Big Ten series at Northwestern this weekend. All three games are scheduled to be played at Rocky Miller Park in Evanston, Ill. Friday's opener (April 4) will begin at 3 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. start on Saturday (April 5). Sunday's series finale (April 6) was pushed back one hour to 2 p.m. and will be aired live on the Big Ten Network.
