CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois has added a non-conference game to be played Monday against Judson University at 3 p.m. in order to make up for the four-game series at Texas Tech that was cancelled earlier this season. The Eagles, based in Elgin, Ill., are an NAIA school that is a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, the same conference as Robert Morris and St. Xavier, other teams the Illini have faced in make-up games in recent years.

Illinois has already faced its fair share of weather-related cancellations. A snowstorm in Dallas prevented the Illini from traveling to Lubbock, Texas, for a four-game series at Texas Tech March 7-9, while Illinois had its game against Northern Iowa over Spring Trip cancelled because of rain. However, the Illini were able to recover that game by playing a doubleheader against Central Connecticut State on Friday.

Following the game against Judson, the Illini will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., on Tuesday for a 3 p.m. start against the Sycamores. Then, Illinois will visit Michigan State this weekend in the Big Ten opener for both squads. The series will be played at Oldsmobile Park, home of the Lansing Lugnuts, the Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
