Hey Illini Fans,

Our annual spring break trip is a little bit different this year. Instead of playing a week in Florida, we are playing four games in southern Illinois. Our schedule consists of two games against Northern Illinois and single games against St. Louis and Southern Illinois. It's a big weekend for us as we are looking to bring our record back to .500.

As we head closer toward our home schedule, the weather has allowed us to conduct some practices outside. When the weather does not cooperate, we have practice in the indoor football facility. It gets really depressing to practice inside day after day even though we are able to play a full game inside the facility. Still, it's just not the same as baseball outside. With our artificial turf field, we are lucky to be able to practice outdoors even if the weather is not ideal.

Yesterday at practice, we were able to go into our new clubhouse for the first time. It's really nice and is a big upgrade over the old facility. There are televisions and a large projection screen that we can use for film study. We have been pretty anxious to be able to use it and it's exciting that we finally can.

If anyone has any questions or things that you want me to write about send me an email at illinidiamondnotes@gmail.com

That's all for this week, Go Illini!
