2006 Redshirt Senior: Made nine appearances, all out of the bullpen Started his season with perfect one-inning outings against Western Michigan (4/5) and at Ohio State (4/9) Tossed a scoreless inning with two strikeouts at Eastern Illinois (4/25) Pitched a perfect 1 1/3 innings against Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament.
2005 - Redshirt Junior: Made four starts on the season, compiling 14 innings Recorded no-decisions vs. Kent State (2/25) and Texas-San Antonio (3/4) Injured his knee late in the season and missed the final five weeks.
2004 - Redshirt Sophomore: Threw 35 1/3 innings over 15 appearances Earned his win against Blackburn College, throwing 3 1/3 innings and allowing one run on three hits Earned first career save over final weekend of the season at Iowa, getting the final out of Illinois' 11-8 game one win Season-long outing came in game four at Northwestern, allowing only one run on seven hits in six innings while walking one and striking out four Also went 5 2/3 against Minnesota, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits First career start came March 23 at Charlotte on the Spring Trip Helped Madison Mallards to the Northwoods League title while playing with Illini teammate Mike Rohde and former Illini Chad Frk and Ryan Rogowski.
2003 - Redshirt Freshman: Threw 11 2/3 innings as a freshman, posting a 1-0 record In his first outing, against Vermont, threw 3 1/3 innings, allowing no runs on three hits, two walks and three strikeouts while helping Illinois to a 4-2 win on the Spring Trip Threw two scoreless innings against Indiana State Recorded his first career win against Indiana, working 2 1/3 innings and allowing two hits and one earned run en route to a 9-2 Illinois win Pitched for the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods League over the summer.

2002 - Freshman: Pitched at UIC as a freshman, making four appearances before being shut down with an injury for the rest of the season Earned a medical redshirt Posted a 6.75 ERA over 5 1/3 innings of work at UIC.

Earned six varsity letters at Downers North: three each in baseball and basketball Posted a 14-2 career record Earned All-Area and honorable mention All-State honors in baseball as a senior Was All-Conference in both baseball and basketball as both a junior and senior Averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds per game over his varsity basketball career Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 31st round of the 2001 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
