    AT ILLINOIS
    Will sit out the 2012 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

    PRIOR TO ILLINOIS
    Participated in fall practice at Clemson University during the Fall 2011 semester before transferring to Illinois.

    HIGH SCHOOL
    Named a 2010 preseason Under Armour All-American ... Was a top-eight selection at the USA Baseball 18-and-under national team tryouts ... Ranked No. 7 in the state in the class of 2011 by Prep Baseball Report before undergoing Tommy John surgery in May 2010 and not pitching in his final two seasons at Stevenson ... Served as the Patriots' designated hitter in 2011.
