2005 Redshirt Freshman: Saw action in two games, vs. W. Michigan (4/6) and Robert Morris.
2004 Freshman: Redshirted the 2004 season after suffering a knee injury.
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned 10 varsity letters at Manteno: four each in baseball and basketball and two in football • Finished his high school career with the most hits in Manteno baseball history, and the fourth-best batting average in school history • Also finished as the third all-time leading scorer in Manteno basketball history • An All-Conference performer in baseball, basketball and football • In addition, earned All-Area honors in basketball and baseball • Was the starting catcher at the Jack Kaiser All-Star Game at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago • Also participated in the Illinois Coaches Association All-State game and the Kankakee Showcase game in baseball, and the IHSA state slam dunk contest in basketball.

Born July 8, 1984 • Parents are Jim and Ann Meyer • Majoring in technical systems management • Cousin, Dan Callahan, is the head baseball coach and Southern Illinois University and his uncle, Irish O'Reilly, is the head baseball coach at Lewis University • Was an honor student all four years of high school • Lists his biggest thrill in sports as winning the a conference title his senior year of high school • Favorite athlete is Michael Barrett • Hobbies include showing cattle and collecting baseball memorabilia • Earliest baseball memory is hitting a home run in a T-Ball game as a four-year old • Lists his parents as the biggest influence on his athletic career because "they were always there."
