AT ILLINOIS
2008 - Junior: Had 11 appearances on the season, all in a starting role ... Tossed a five-hit shutout against Maryland-Baltimore County on March 18 with a career high-tying five strikeouts ... Tossed four shutout innings against Indiana State to get the win ... Threw five shutout innings in his first start of the season against Lamar, picking up his first win ... Took the hard-luck loss at Michigan State, allowing just two earned runs in 7 1/3 innings ... Allowed just two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings against Northwestern but took the loss ... Academic All-Big Ten selection ... Went 5-2 with a 1.48 ERA, the fifth-best ERA in the league, while playing for the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League during the summer with teammates Ben Reeser and Nick Chmielewski.

2007 - Sophomore: Made 13 appearances and eight starts ... Had a career day against Massachusetts, tossing eight shutout innings for his first win of the season, allowing eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts ... Earned the win at Illinois State, giving up just one run on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts ... Got the win against Greenville with three solid innings, giving up just one run on one hit and one walk while striking out two ... Academic All-Big Ten selection ... Played for the Fayetteville SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League over the summer along with Illini teammates Dominic Altobelli, Ben Reeser and former Illini John Schlichter ... 2006 - Freshman: Made 11 appearances and four starts ... Had solid starts against Western Michigan (April 5) and at Bradley (April 11), going three innings in both ... Gave up a run on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts against Western Michigan to pick up his first collegiate win ... Allowed an unearned run, two hits and a walk at Bradley ... Earned a save in the series finale vs. Northwestern (April 16) with two shutout innings of relief, giving up four hits and striking out one ...
