2012 - Junior: Started all 53 games at third base ... Hit .267 with five home runs and 38 RBIs ... His five home runs were tied for the team lead and his 38 RBIs were tied for second-most on the team ... Ranked third on the team with nine multiple-RBI games and fifth with 16 multiple-hit games ... Hit .321 against left-handed pitchers ... Hit .346 in wins compared to .167 in losses ... Hit .329 at home and .229 away from home ... Scored a career-high four runs in the season-opener against Notre Dame (2/17) ... Was 2-for-4 with a homer and two runs against No. 27 St. John's on Feb. 19 ... Made only six errors in 143 chances for a .958 fielding percentage, after Illinois' third baseman in the previous three seasons had averaged 21.3 errors per year ... Led Illinois with 11 multiple-RBI games ... Hit .450 (9-for-20) in the last six games of the year with two home runs, two doubles, four RBIs and five runs ... Had a pair of two-homer games, at Bradley on April 6 and at Indiana on May 21 ... Had a team-high 19 RBIs with two outs ... Started his Illini career strong, hitting .419 (13-for-31) in Illinois' first eight games ... Went 3-for-5 with two RBIs in Illinois' 11-10 win at No. 12 Coastal Carolina on March 12 ... Went 10-for-23 (.435) with eight RBIs and four runs over Spring Trip ... Hit 7-for-12 in the Penn State series ... Went 2-for-5 with two homers and three RBIs at Bradley before slipping into a 7-for-72 (.097) slump from April 7-May 14 ...
