2008 - Junior: Played in 43 games, starting 37 ... Missed 10 games with a shoulder injury that he sustained against Western Illinois on April 23 ... Started 31 games at third base and six at designated hitter ... Returned from injury by pinch-hitting in the final two games of the Ohio State series, going 1-for-2 ... Played DH in the final three games of the Purdue series, going 4-for-9 with 3 RBIs ... Ranked third on the team with a .486 slugging percentage, tied for third with 38 RBIs and fourth with four home runs ... Tied for second on the team with 10 multiple-RBI games and sixth with 13 multiple-hit games ... Finished the season strong, going 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs against Indiana in the final game ... Went 5-for-12 with two runs and two RBIs in the Big Ten Tournament ... Hit 9-for-21 (.429) with five RBIs and two runs after re-entering the starting lineup on May 16 ... 2006 - Freshman: Played in 32 games and started 15 ... Started 11 at DH, three at shortstop and one at third base ... Hit .289 with 10 runs in 76 at bats ... Racked up seven two-hit games, including a 2-for-3 outing with two runs in a spot start at shortstop at Indiana State ... Hit his first career home run against Vermont on Spring Trip ... Had a season-best five-game hitting streak over Spring Trip from March 18-23 ... Hit 7-for-19 (.368) over Spring Trip with five runs and two RBI ... Hit .316 in Big Ten play, seeing action in 17 games and starting eight ...
