University of Illinois junior cheerleader Elissa Glavash (Chillicothe, Ill.) has been chosen to represent the Fighitng Illlini and the Big Ten Conference in round four the 2006 Athlon Sideline Spirit contest. Fans can show their school spirit by voting for their favorite spirit contestant HERE. Voting began on November 4th and will continue for 3 weeks.
The Athlon Sports' Sideline Spirit contest is entering its fourth year. Twenty four spirit contestants from across the country were chosen to participate in the contest, which runs from the beginning of the college football season in September until the national championship game in January. The contest is broken up into four rounds.
At the conclusion of the regular season, spirit contestants will advance to our championship round. They can advance to the championship by getting the most votes in the round or the most votes in the conference. The winner will be featured in the 2007 Athlon Sports College Football annuals and her squad will receive several prizes. For information visit www.athlonsports.com.
