CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Following a pair of stellar performances at the 2016 P&G Championships earlier this month, former Illinois gymnasts Paul Ruggeri ('12) and C.J. Maestas ('15) each qualified to compete at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, this Thursday and Saturday. Ruggeri and Maestas are two of 18 men contending for spots on the five-man U.S. Olympic Team that will compete at the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this August.

Saturday, June 25 – 7 p.m. CT
Five gymnasts will be selected to represent the Red, White and Blue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, while three additional gymnasts will travel as alternates. Team USA gymnasts will be announced at the conclusion of the second day of competition.
