The hiring of Lovie Smith as head football coach has sent Fighting Illini fans into a frenzy. In the last 48 hours, the Fighting Illini Ticket Office has sold over 2,000 new season tickets for the 2016 football season. The popular I Fund Family 4-Pack – which included 4 season tickets and a $50 I Fund membership for $249 – are sold out, but there are still many ways for Fighting Illini fans to jump on board.

The Fighting Illini host seven home games inside the confines of Memorial Stadium and Coach Smith is anxiously awaiting the type of home-field advantage these early returns are promising.

Season Tickets
Season tickets for Fighting Illini football start at only $99 per seat and include games against Murray State, North Carolina, Western Michigan, and B1G opponents Purdue, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Iowa. Student Tickets
Student season tickets and Block I memberships are available to students for only $60 and are on sale now. This membership includes tickets to all home games and the limited edition Block I student t-shirt, as well as other additional incentives throughout the year. The student support at the Illini Union was overwhelming on Coach Smith's first day and the excitement has continued from the student body. According to Nick Robinson, outgoing Chair of Block I and current senior at Illinois, "I have never seen our students rally behind something so quickly. What an exciting time to be a member of the Fighting Illini. Students should act now to guarantee their place in Memorial Stadium this fall."

LOVIE T-Shirts
Fans who become season ticket holders or renew their season tickets by 5pm on Friday, March 11, will be provided one commemorative LOVIE t-shirt (per account) in partnership with GameDay Spirit. This applies to all purchases made on or before March 11. Additional details on delivery and sizing will be announced at a later date. Renewals
