Head Coach Dan Hartleb has announced that the 2015 Blue/Orange World Series will take place September 28, 30 & October 1 at Illinois Field. Game one will be at 4:15 p.m., while games two and three will begin at 6:15 p.m.
Admission to the Blue/Orange World Series will be free to the public and all seating will be general admission.
The 2016 #ILLINI return several members of last year's 50-10-1 NCAA Regional Championship team, including veteran pitchers Nick Blackburn and JD Nielsen, shortstop Adam Walton, designated hitter Pat McInerney, and catcher Jason Goldstein. The trio of Goldstein (17th round / Dodgers), Walton (20th round / Orioles) and Blackburn (22nd round, Mets) each passed up professional opportunities to return and help defend the program's 22nd Big Ten Championship.
