Fighting Illini football opens the 2015 season under the lights Friday night and fans are encouraged to help create an Orange Out at Memorial Stadium by wearing orange to the game.
Illinois and Kent State will start at 8 p.m. and the game will be televised by the Big Ten Network. Friday's game also will mark the grand opening of the Grange Grove tailgating area just west of Memorial Stadium and fans won't want to miss the first Illini Walk of the season through the Grange Grove after the team arrives at the stadium at 5:30 p.m.Â
