The University of Illinois ranked No. 15 in the nation in men's basketball home attendance during the 2014-15 season, according to figures released Monday by the NCAA. Illinois averaged 14,652 fans per game, with a total of 234,435 people passing through the State Farm Center turnstiles over 16 home games. The Fighting Illini played in front of five sellout crowds during the season, highlighted by the largest crowd in State Farm Center history on Feb. 12 when 17,087 watched the Orange and Blue defeat Michigan. Illinois has now ranked in the top 17 nationally in home attendance for 16 consecutive seasons, and in the top 25 for 37 years in a row.

The Big Ten conference, meanwhile, led the nation in men's basketball attendance for the 39th consecutive season with an average attendance of 12,781 per game, including regular season home games and the Big Ten Tournament. During the 2014-15 campaign, the Big Ten welcomed a record 3,195,137 patrons, eclipsing the 3-million mark for the first time while recording the second-highest total of any conference in history.
