Student Tailgate present by

Grange Grove Student Tailgating
New for 2015, the Student Tailgate area presented by ONE Illinois, will allow students to reserve tailgate spots inside Grange Grove. Previously Lot 36 and located between First Street and Memorial Stadium, Grange Grove will be the prime tailgating area on Fighting Illini Football game day.

Reserving a Tailgate Spot
Reserved Tailgate spots are earmarked for students only and there is no cost to reserve a tailgate space. If you are a student looking to reserve space, CLICK HERE to register.

There are a limited number of reserved spaces available for students per game so they will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. All reservations must be submitted by 5 p.m. the Wednesday before the game in order to guarantee a tailgate spot. Reserving a tailgate spot does not include a vehicle parking pass for game day. All reserved spaces must be occupied at least 2.5 hours before game time or the space will be opened up to the public and any tailgate reservations your group has for future games will be forfeited. It is important that the Reserved Student Tailgate area is occupied to add to the game day atmosphere in Grange Grove, so this policy will be strictly enforced.

Set up and Parking
Grange Grove will be open from 5pm-7pm the day before a game to allow students to set up any tailgate items in advance. Tailgaters will be able to pull up in the north side of the lot and drop-off their items. Vehicles will not be allowed inside Grange Grove at any time. Students will be directed to their reserved tailgate spaces; each reserved tailgate space will be approximately 15'x15'. Personal tailgating tents and awnings must be 10'x10' or smaller, and must fit within the boundary of one designated tailgate space. Tailgating on sidewalks or walkways is prohibited & no electrical power will be provided.

Any students who did not have a tailgate reservation, may come to Grange Grove at this time as well, to reserve space and set up their tailgate. Security will monitor the area overnight; however any items set up in the lot are left at the risk of the owner. Grange Grove will reopen at 7am on game day. At this time students may return to their tailgate space and walk-in any additional items they need, including food and beverages. Fans over the age of 21 will be able to consume alcoholic beverages in this area, similar to all tailgating lots. Grange Grove will remain open until 10pm or one hour after the conclusion of a night game on game day.

What to bring
The space in the Student Tailgate area will be cordoned off for your group. Only the space is provided. Groups will have to bring their own items (grill, tables, chairs, etc.). To make tailgating easier, students can also take advantage of Illinois' partnership with TAILGATER CONCIERGE to purchase individual tailgate packages that include tents, tables, chairs, and many other tailgate essentials. These packages can be delivered to Memorial Stadium, allowing students to arrive at Grange Grove and enjoy their experience. Learn more at tailgaterconcierge.com.

Prohibited Items
The following items or actions are not allowed in the student tailgate area or parking lots: open fires, weapons, fireworks, saving parking spaces, disorderly conduct, advertising banners or displays, picketing or political campaigning, solicitation, tethered blimps, balloons, and other oversized inflatables. In addition, due to the proximity to the stage inside Grange Grove, no amplified music, live entertainment or DJ is permitted in the Reserved Student Tailgate area.
