1. Illinois snapped a five-game winning streak, its longest of the season.
2. Illinois dropped to 86-81 all-time against Michigan, including a 55-27 mark in Champaign.
3. Illinois used the same starting lineup three consecutive games for the first time this season. Illinois is 2-1 with the starting five of Jaylon Tate, Jalen Coleman-Lands, Kendrick Nunn, Malcolm Hill and Michael Finke. Illinois started a different lineup in 10 of its 13 non-conference games.
4. Illinois forced Michigan into a season-high 15 turnovers. Michigan's 10 turnovers in the first half were its most in a half this season. The Wolverines entered the game No. 3 in the country at 9.4 turnovers per game.
5. Kendrick Nunn led the Illini in scoring with 23 points. He has scored in double figures in all nine games since returning to the lineup Nov. 27, including three performances with 20+ points.
6. Jalen Coleman-Lands went 3-of-8 from three-point range, the freshman's seventh game with 3+ three-pointers made in his first 14 career games. Coleman-Lands scored in double figures for the third time in the last four games.
7. Malcolm Hill scored 11 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Hill has scored in double figures in every game this season. He came into the day leading the Big Ten in scoring (18.7 points per game before today).
8. Michael Finke pulled down a career-best eight rebounds.
