The Illinois junior duo of Malcolm Hill and Kendrick Nunn rank 1-2 in the Big Ten in scoring as conference play approaches. Hill leads the league with an 18.7 ppg average, while Nunn is tied for second with Michigan State's Denzel Valentine at 18.5 ppg. Nunn, who missed the first five games due to injury, doesn't yet appear in the official conference stats as he has not played in 75 percent of Illinois' games. (Nunn has played in 8 of 13 games, 62 percent.)
The Fighting Illini (8-5) have won five in a row heading into B1G play, which opens Wednesday when Michigan comes to State Farm Center. Tickets are available online or by calling 1-866-ILLINI-1.
