Iowa City, Iowa – Following a weekend away from action, the Fighting Illini men's tennis team has returned to competition as the squad heads west for the Big Ten Indoor Championships. The event is taking place indoors at Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex in Iowa City, Iowa. Action spans four days beginning on Friday, Nov. 6 and lasting through Monday, Nov. 9, when the singles semi-finals and main draw championship will be played.
The Illini will send four players to the B1G Men's Indoor Tennis Tournament. Freshmen Pengxuan Jiang and Asher Hirsch will join sophomore Toshiki Matsuya and redshirt junior Alex Jesse. The Illini doubles lineups will include the duos of Jiang and Hirsch and Jesse and Matsuya. Jesse and Matsuya received a first round bye.
