Hello Illini Fans!!
When we got back on campus for the 2015-16 season, our team had the opportunity to go to Chandlerville, Illinois! The trip was a team-bonding weekend where we were able to get to know each other better and in a different way than we have ever before! We were literally in the middle of nowhere and we were able to appreciate each other and the nature around us.
We went on a few different hikes and in the middle of one of the hikes we stopped in an open area and attempted to complete a few human knots. We successfully completed our first attempt no problem, and since we accomplished the task so quickly we tried to do it again! Only that time was a lot harder for us! Our little computer science engineer (Jan J) figured out that we messed up in the beginning when we grabbed each other's hands and accidentally grabbed hands too close to ourselves instead of reaching across the circle.
That night we sat out by the campfire and shared goofy stories about ourselves. Apparently our team has had a lot of funny things happen to ourselves so feel free to ask any one of us our embarrassing story; it will probably make you laugh as much as we did! In the middle of our campfire, unfortunately, a quick thunderstorm went through the area and we got drenched and our s'mores got a little soggy, but we made the most of it laughing at how silly we looked with chocolate all over our faces trying to shove in the s'mores while we sprinted for cover.
The next day we got to explore the land a little more and do more fun games. We played Pictionary and heads up which was a lot of fun. It was truly a great experience to get to know each other on a more personal basis and we had a great time doing it!
Our season has been going awesome so far, so make sure you keep up with our tournament rounds! We appreciate and LOVE the support!
I-L-L!
