Sue Walker was hired as an Event Manager for the Assembly Hall in August of 1990. She began her career as a graduate assistant for Braden Auditorium on the campus of Illinois State University. She currently serves as Associate Director for Event Administration at the Assembly Hall.
Walker earned her CFE (Certified Facilities Executive) designation in 2011. She currently serves as Secretary on the International Association of Venue Managers, Region 3 board and is slated to serve on this board through 2019.
A native of Rantoul, Ill., Walker earned her bachelor's degree in public relations from Illinois State University in 1989 and her master's degree in communications from Illinois State University in 1992. She and her husband, Ken, have two children (Ellie and Nick) and reside in Savoy.
