Illini Family Pitches In for Illinois Marathon

Numerous DIA Staff Members Participate, Volunteer on Race Day

Carrie Snyder was named the University of Illinois Director of Marketing in August of 2011. In her position, she serves as the primary marketing contact for volleyball, wrestling and men's tennis and the secondary contact for football and men's basketball.

Snyder began her career in athletics marketing as a graduate assistant at Maryville University in 2005. Upon graduation she accepted an internship at Newberry College serving as the marketing and promotions intern as well as a volunteer assistant women's basketball coach before being brought on full-time in 2008 as the Director of Tickets and Promotions. In 2009, Snyder was named an Assistant Director of Fan Experience and Promotions for the Ohio State University, where she was responsible for all marketing, advertising and game day entertainment for the women's basketball and baseball programs.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Snyder played basketball for Maryville University where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing in 2005 and her master's in business administration in 2007.
