Kristen Streeter enters her second season as the athletic trainer for the men's and women's cross country and track and field teams after joining the Sports Medicine Staff as an Outreach Athletic Trainer from Athletico Physical Therapy in July 2013.
The Rushville, Illinois, native is a 1997 graduate of the University of Illinois, where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. Streeter additionally earned her master's degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science from Western Illinois University in 1999. Prior to this position, she was an outreach athletic trainer for Millikin University, working with men's and women's cross country and track and field, women's and men's basketball and volleyball. Streeter spent the earlier portion of her career as a high school outreach athletic trainer in Decatur IL.
Streeter is an Illinois State Licensed Athletic Trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association and Illinois Athletic Trainers Association (IATA). She has held several leadership positions within these associations and is currently the Governmental Affairs Director for the IATA. Streeter holds current certifications in Active Release Technique (ART) for Lower Extremity and Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM).
Streeter and her husband, Eric, reside in Mt Zion, Illinois, and have a son, Grant, who is a student at Butler University.
