Weston Carter started at the University of Illinois in September 2010. He began his career in athletic video production as an undergraduate at the University of Illinois in 2006 and served as a graduate assistant for Illini Productions in the athletic department from 2008-2010.
In 2010, Carter had the opportunity to join Illini Productions at Illinois, where he has been a Production Specialist since. He assists in all areas of video and graphic production. Carter serves as the director for live big screen productions for football and men's basketball. He also functions as the primary contact for men's basketball, volleyball, men's gymnastics, and men's tennis, and is a producer for the "Fighting Illini Insider" TV show.
A native of Danville, Ill., Carter earned his bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Illinois in 2008 and his master's in sports management at Illinois in 2010. He and his wife, Abbie, reside in Champaign with their two dogs, Gus and Bam.
