Carrie Ummel joined the I FUND in May 2002. She began her career in Athletics as an intern in the Marketing and Promotions department and later as a Graduate Assistant in the same department. Prior to joining Athletic Development, Carrie was an Event Coordinator working with game management and administration.
A native of Champaign and a graduate of Centennial High School, Carrie earned dual degrees from the University of Illinois. In 1999 she received her Bachelors in Leisure Studies with an emphasis on Sports Management and in May 2001 she received her Masters Degree focusing on Sports Administration.
Carrie's primary role in Athletic Development is to oversee the I FUND. Carrie also works with cultivation and stewardship initiatives of members of the I FUND, focusing on the allocations of priority benefits in the sports of football and men's basketball.
