Illini Marketing Department Wins NACMA Gold Medal

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics marketing department won the gold medal in the category of revenue-generating idea for the Illini for Life newborn package at the annual convention of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) in Orlando, Fla., on June 14.
Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Best of Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 13 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. An association record of more than 1,000 awards entries were received for the 2012-13 year.
"We are thrilled to be honored with this award, especially because it is determined by our peers," said Jennifer Larson, Assistant Athletic Director for Sales and Marketing. "This program is truly a timeless campaign and it's a fun way for fans to pass on their Illini heritage to the next generation."
