    Brad Hopkins, Football '93 -- On March 4, 2000, Brad and his wife,Kellie, returned to Champaign-Urbana for the men's basketball game vs. Northwestern to present Shawn Wax and Coach Ron Turner with a check for $50,000 made out to the Fighting Illini Scholarship Fund.

    A Game of Catch, Anyone? Former UI standout wide receivers Steve Mueller (l) and Jim Klein soak in some sunshine prior to an Illinois football game. One feat that they have in common--both caught touchdown passes at Michigan Stadium, Mueller an 26-yarder and Klein a 15-yarder.

    Back in the Day...A few members of the 1990 Citrus Bowl championship team visited UI spring football practice to say hello to former teammate and current defensive backs coach Chris Green. Pictured (l to r) are: Darrick Brownlow, Kameno Bell, Henry Jones, Coach Green, Quintin Parker, Romero Brice and Howard Griffith. No report yet on their 40-yard dash times!

    In Memory of Matt Heldman...Orange Krush representatives Chip Jorstad (l) and Jared Gelfond present a check to Director of Development Shawn Wax during halftime of an Illinois basketball game. The check represents the first installment towards a $250,000 endowment pledge by the Orange Krush to establish a basketball scholarship in memory of former Illini basketball standout Matt Heldman. Heldman was killed in a car accident near Libertyville, Ill. For more information on the Orange Krush endowment, contact Heather Wanninger at (217) 244-0062.

    Thanks John and Patty! Former Illini all-star linebacker John Holecek and his wife, Patty, stopped by a Fighting Illini basketball game to present a check for $50,000 in support of scholarships for the football program. Holecek is the starting middle linebacker for the Buffalo Bills.

    The Whole Nine Yards! No Illini have performed better offensively than this dynamic duo. Former Illinois quarterback Jack Trudeau (r) and ex-UI running back Robert Holcombe returned to Memorial Stadium to catch a Fighting Illini football game. Trudeau is the all-time leader in passing yards and Holcombe is the all-time leader in rushing yards for the Orange and Blue.
