U of I swimmers Marissa Clapp and Katie Childs and volleyball players Lizzie Bazzetta and Hillary Haen took part in a congratulatory lunch for kids from Lincoln Trail Elementary School in Mahomet, Ill., on Wednesday. The school just completed a successful Jump Rope For Heart fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The student-athletes told the students a little bit about themselves and their teams and then also spoke about their own community service experiences and the importance of reaching out to help others within our community.
