Day 1&2 - Practice Rounds:

On Saturday I played a practice round in the afternoon, and we were invited to a reception dinner last night which was a lot of fun. My family was able to join and we  got to talk to other players, volunteers, and organizers. Speeches were given by a few important people including one past winner of this tournament. It made me feel very thankful to be a part of this special tournament especially because this is the very last year.

Today I played another practice round in the morning. In general the course is quite straight forward; the fairways are forgiving from off the tees. Some of the greens are tough but you just have to know where to miss and where to place the ball, even if it means being off the green and relying on your short game.

Tomorrow should be an exciting day, and I am very much looking forward to enjoying my day out there!

Day 3 - First qualifying round:

Today I didn't have my best game out there. However, I tried to fight all day long and stay in it as much as possible. I learned a lot from the day and look forward to using that in tomorrow's round. So far it has been a privilege to play in this tournament with so many other great players. I will enjoy myself out there tomorrow and have fun playing the game that I love most.

Go Illini!
