Hey Illini fans!

Are you ready for the Holidays? We are!

Our team is full with Christmas spirit this time of year.  We have been decorating our dorms and apartments with ornaments, lights and Christmas trees. Our upperclassmen even have four trees in their apartment, so it's definitely uplifting to hang out at their place!  We have also been doing other holiday activities, which include baking holiday treats, shopping for gifts and spending an evening at Kenwood Elementary making holiday crafts with the kids.

Along with the holiday spirit, this week is finals week. We have all been studying really hard and are ready to watch our hard work pay off with great grades. We have a team G.P.A goal of 3.25, so we are all making that final push to get the grades we want this semester. Although our team is currently busy with finals, we are still working hard in the gym and focusing on the details in our routines!

Another goal that we set as a team this year is to get the most volunteer and team building hours out of all the sports team on campus. At the half way point,we are currently leading the board and hope to continue our work to accomplish this goal.

After finals we will have a sigh of relief! We are all really excited to go home this Saturday to celebrate the Holidays with our families and friends! We get to go home for a nice break, and then it is back to Champaign to continue to prepare for our first meet against Michigan State on January 10th! It is crazy to think that season is less than a month away; it is right around the corner!

Well that's it for now! Stay tuned for more Illini gymnastics updates and we hope everyone has happy Holidays!
