Hey Illini Fans!!

We're back!!! The Illinois women's golf team is back in full swing for the fall season already completing a week of classes and practices. We do have a few new additions to the team, two freshmen Emily Joers and Stephanie Miller as well as our new assistant coach Jenny Coluccio, and we are excited to welcome them into our family!

This summer was busy for all of us, whether it was playing in tournaments, taking classes, working, or doing internships. But, we took advantage of this offseason and we are feeling well prepared to have a great season. We brought our hard work into this past week's practice where we worked on a lot of short game and we have already shown great improvement in our up and down statistics, and we are looking to continue this improvement throughout the season. To help aid in this process we have started something new this year. At the beginning of every week we meet as a team and come up with 2 goals to focus on for the week, one process goal and one outcome goal. We feel that these goals will help us focus throughout the week and keep us motivated to reach our season ending goals.

Our first tournament is fast approaching starting September 7th in Fort Collins, Colorado at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic and we are excited to kick things off out there. We have had much success here in the past, and we look to continue that trend with a successful trip this upcoming week.

Be sure to follow us throughout the season on the Fighting Illini website. We appreciate all the support!

Go Illini!
