Hey Illini Fans!
This past weekend was my last Big Ten Championship! It is amazing how quickly this season has gone by - just like I knew it would. However, the realization of this fact does not make coping with it any easier. I am so proud of how we did as a team at Big Tens! It was such an awesome feeling to be able to walk away from the meet and feel so good about our performance. I can't say enough how proud I am of my teammates, and I know that going into Regionals, we are hungry for more, which will make for an even BETTER meet. Check out all the Big Ten highlights here.
After the Big Ten meet we were able to hang out with families and enjoy the company of our parents who are our best fans. They all showed up in the orange and blue overalls and had the best cheering section of the whole meet. It is so awesome to be apart of the Illini family and can't thank them enough for how great they are.
Looking forward to Regionals, we are excited to go to Morgantown, West Virginia. I am really excited because it is our Volunteer Assistant Coach - Jess Santos's alma mater! I think the venue will be great and going up against familiar competitors Michigan and Nebraska won't be unknown to us considering we just saw them at Big Tens! We are really excited for this match up and I know we are ready to take on the competition and show everyone what being a Fighting Illini is all about J. We want a 3rd National berth more than anything and that is what this week's practice will be focused on. Until then you can read up on the Regional announcement here and stay tuned for live stats.
Thanks for reading and GO ILLINI!
