In this year's 10th edition, junior Amber See discusses the team's successful past weekend in obtaining a 196.3 in both meets at Missouri and at home for Senior Day vs Ball State & UIC, and also looks ahead to the State of Illinois Classic and Big Ten Championships.

Hello again Illini fans!

It is crazy how each season I partake in goes a little bit faster! I can hardly believe that we only have one more meet until Big Ten Championships! Last weekend was busy as the team took on the Missouri Tigers Friday night and then we headed back to Champaign on Saturday, in time for our last home meet in Huff Hall against UIC and Ball State. Although it was a hectic weekend, it was also a memorable one as the seniors, Jaclyn Kantecki, Elise Gill, Macy Hyatt and Alina Weinstein competed for the final time in our home venue. It was emotional for the team to see the girls experience their last home meet, but we were all excited to make the memory with them!

Last weekend was a great opportunity for our team to get two solid scores to increase our chances of being placed in the night session of the Big Ten Championships, as well as climb our way up in the rankings. We were successful in achieving two awesome scores, which happened to match each other exactly. We got a 196.3 at both Missouri and at home! We moved up two places in the rankings and can't wait to continue our success this coming weekend.

This weekend we will head to Chicago for the State of Illinois Classic meet where we will take on all the other Division I teams in Illinois. Our team continues to work hard in the gym to achieve our goal of receiving a bid to NCAA Nationals! Stay tuned to hear how our upcoming meets go and remember to tune into the Big Ten Network on Saturday, March 23rd and 12pm for the Big Ten Championships!  There will be two sessions, so you can watch gymnastics ALL DAY long!
