Illini in the NFL - Week 9

A pair of past Illini, Pierre Thomas and Rashard Mendenhall, scored touchdowns, Kelvin Hayden picked off Curtis Painter and Neil Rackers was perfect on three field goals. Pierre Thomas, RB, New Orleans Saints - Broke a pair of tackles to get into the end zone on a 9-yard TD run, rushed for 66 yards, including this 33-yard pickup, and caught four passes for 25 yards in a 27-16 win over the Buccaneers.

Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers - Scored his fourth touchdown of the year on a 1-yard TD run and gained 52 yards on the ground in a 23-20 loss to the Ravens.

Kelvin Hayden, CB, Atlanta Falcons - Had his second interception of the year while also making seven tackles in a 31-7 win over the Colts.

Neil Rackers, PK, Houston Texans - Nailed three field goals from 50, 28 and 21 yards along with three extra points in a 30-12 win over the Browns.

Brandon Lloyd, WR, St. Louis Rams - Led the Rams' receiving corps, catching five passes for 80 yards, including this 26-yard grab, in a 19-13 overtime loss to the Cardinals.

David Diehl, OT, New York Giants - Started at right guard for the Giants and helped protect Eli Manning, who did not get sacked in a 24-20 comeback win over the Patriots.

Brandon Moore, OG, New York Jets - Started at guard for the Jets, who totaled nearly 350 yards of offense in a 27-11 win over the Bills.

Steve Weatherford, P, New York Giants - Punted five times, putting five inside the 20-yard line, and averaged 43.1 yards in a 24-20 win over the Patriots.

Arrelious Benn, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Caught a pair of passes for 22 yards in a 27-16 loss to the Saints.

Alan Ball, CB, Dallas Cowboys - Totaled four tackles, including three solo stops in the 23-13 win over the Seahawks.

Corey Liuget, DL, San Diego Chargers - Made one tackle in the 45-38 loss to the Packers.

Brit Miller, FB, St. Louis Rams - Carried the ball twice and picked up a yard in a 19-13 loss to the Cardinals.

Tony Pashos, OG, Cleveland Browns - Started at right tackle in a 30-12 loss to the Texans.

Jon Asamoah, OG, Kansas City Chiefs - Started at right guard for the Chiefs, who lost 31-3 to the Dolphins.

Michael Hoomanawanui, TE, St. Louis Rams - Played in the19-13 loss to the Cardinals, but did not record any statistics.

Martez Wilson, LB, New Orleans Saints - Played in the 27-16 win over the Buccaneers, but did not record any statistics.

Josh Brent, DT, Dallas Cowboys - Played in the 23-13 win over the Seahawks, but did not record any statistics.

Vontae Davis, CB, Miami Dolphins - Did not play in a 31-3 win over the Chiefs.
