Athletic/Professional Experience: 22-time All-American swimmer at UCLA, captain of the Bruin swim team in the 1999-2000 season, U.S. National Team member - swimming, three-time Olympic Trials qualifier. Comes to Illinois following three years as Director of Football Student-Athlete Development at California, where she coordinated academic support services for the Golden Bear football program. Served Stanford as an assistant academic director for student-athletes from 2007-2010 and was the academic advising coordinator for black student programs at St. Mary's College in 2007. Her post-competitive career began at UCLA as an academic coordinator from 2000-2002 before moving to Cal-Berkeley for the first time as an academic advisor for student-athletes from 2002-07.

Professional Experience: Comes to Illinois after 16 months as Academic Coordinator for Georgia Tech Football. While there, she monitored the academic progress of her designated cohort as well as coordinated nightly study hall operations. Prior to Georgia Tech, she was a graduate assistant in Academic Support Services at The University of Akron where she worked with Football and Men/Women's Track.

Best part of my job: Seeing my students succeed and grow confidence off the field. In particular, when I'm working with a student and they have that breakthrough "ah-ha" moment where he or she realizes that their hardwork and persistence pays off. It's in that moment that they own their academic success and realize what it means to truly be a student-athlete.
